Having been involved with the Time Team Dig Village community archaeology project since 2014, we have experience in the organisation required on a village scale community project.  From the booking of hotels, organisation of supplies, communicating with householders and ensuring the correct professionals are on site, this undertaking cannot be underestimated.  Education was also part of this project and on several occasions we attended the local school to take lessons with various age groups, which led to some of the children being invited to take part in one of the community digs with us, a session enjoyed by all.

From the work done a report was written to evaluate all of the findings and to be made available for the public and professionals.  Attention had to be paid to the detail, permissions obtained from various organisations to enable maps and other details to be used.  This was in our remit to ensure it was done correctly.

Time Team Dig Village has also launched a book for all community groups, to enable them to research and understand their local history.  We were honoured to have been part of the research group for this book and it was published in December 2019
